This range of bushings has been used in the UK and overseas for many years. Standard bushings are a proven range and many thousands continue to operate to this day. The range is especially useful in non-standard transformers -especially where very heavy pollution levels exist. The range has enhanced insulation levels in excess of ISO 60137 requirements.

Available Designs
Bushings rated at 36kV and above are normally supplied filled with oil and ready for service.

For some voltages we are able to provide high current (HC) versions.

Insulators

Insulator is one-piece ceramic porcelain. Standard porcelain colour is Brown. Grey porcelain is also available – consult us for lead times

Metalwork

Conductors are electro-tin plated. Fixings and fasters are anti-corrosion plated.

Termination

Most bushings are supplied with screwed terminals. High current (HC) versions are supplied with plain terminals to enable termination via flag connectors.

Fixation

Bushings are supplied fitted with an aluminium flange with fixing holes drilled to accept transformer cover studs. The flange is fixed to the porcelain with galvanised finger clamps.
